These terms apply to the website, homeowner information and installer-introduction service. They should be read with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
1. Who operates the service
Upgrade My Home is currently operated as a founder-led home-upgrade comparison and introduction service.
Public-facing name: Upgrade My Home.
The service is not currently operated through an incorporated company and does not have a registered office.
General questions can currently be submitted through the Contact page.
2. The role of Upgrade My Home
Upgrade My Home provides homeowner information and a curated installer introduction service intended to help connect homeowners with participating installers that may be relevant to a home upgrade enquiry.
Upgrade My Home is not the contractor that surveys, designs, supplies, installs or maintains the work. Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, it is not a party to the quotation or contract between a homeowner and an installer.
3. How the matching service works
A homeowner submits enquiry and contact information. Upgrade My Home reviews the information manually and may select a small number of participating installers based on the homeowner’s requirements and the services and coverage those businesses provide. Upgrade My Home may share the enquiry and contact details with those selected installers so they can respond about that specific enquiry.
Enquiries are not sent indiscriminately to a general list of contractors.
Matches and introductions are based on the information available at the time. They are not approvals, certifications, technical recommendations or guarantees of quality, availability, price or suitability. The service does not claim to cover every installer or the whole market.
4. Commercial relationships
Upgrade My Home may receive fees or other commercial consideration from participating installers for introductions, participation or other agreed services.
A business may need a commercial arrangement with Upgrade My Home to participate. This means introductions may be made from participating businesses rather than every installer available. A commercial relationship does not guarantee that a business will be suitable for a particular enquiry or guarantee its work.
Commercial arrangements do not determine whether an installer appears relevant to a homeowner enquiry. They do not guarantee that a business will be suitable for a particular enquiry or guarantee its work.
5. Homeowner responsibilities
Homeowners should provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge and use the service only for genuine enquiries.
Before accepting a quotation or entering a contract, a homeowner should review the installer’s legal identity, relevant registrations, insurance, credentials and references. They should also check the written quotation, equipment specification, exclusions, payment stages, timescales, grant responsibilities, cancellation rights, warranties, complaints process and aftercare.
Grant eligibility, planning requirements, grid connection and technical suitability depend on the property, current rules and the work proposed. These matters should be confirmed with the relevant installer, authority or professional.
6. Installer quotations and contracts
Any quote, survey, advice or contract supplied by an installer comes from that business. Upgrade My Home does not set the installer’s price or contractual terms and does not promise that an installer will respond, provide a quote or accept a project.
Questions, changes, defects, delays, payments, warranties and disputes relating to installation work should be addressed with the installer under the applicable contract and consumer law.
7. Website information
Guides and estimates are general information, not property-specific technical, financial, legal or tax advice. Costs, grants, rules, product details and market conditions can change. Check important information with the relevant public body, regulator, installer or qualified adviser before acting.
Upgrade My Home aims to correct confirmed factual errors but does not promise that every page will always be complete or current.
8. Acceptable website use
Do not misuse the website, submit false or unlawful material, interfere with its security or operation, attempt unauthorised access, scrape it in a way that causes harm, or use its content in breach of applicable law or intellectual property rights.
Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or legal rights.
9. External websites and participating businesses
Links or introductions to third parties are provided for convenience. Upgrade My Home does not control third-party websites, privacy practices, quotations or services. Review the third party’s own terms and policies.
10. Availability, disclaimers and liability
The website and matching service may be changed, suspended or unavailable from time to time. No outcome, saving, grant, quote, installation date or performance result is guaranteed.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these terms affects rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.
11. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Cookie and tracking information appears in the Cookie Policy.

These terms may be updated when the website, service or commercial model changes. The current version and effective date should be displayed on this page.
No governing-law or jurisdiction clause is stated for this proof-of-concept pending appropriate legal review.
