For installers

Become an Upgrade My Home installer partner

Upgrade My Home helps Irish homeowners understand their upgrade options and connects suitable enquiries with a carefully selected network of participating installers.

We are starting with solar and are looking to build long-term relationships with installers that value quality, clear communication and good homeowner experiences.

Relevant introductions

A different approach to homeowner enquiries

Upgrade My Home is not intended to operate as a high-volume open lead marketplace.

Homeowners provide information about their home and what they are considering. We review the enquiry and may introduce it to a small number of participating installers that appear relevant based on factors such as location, services and requirements.

The aim is to make more relevant introductions for homeowners and installer partners. We do not promise that every enquiry is fully qualified, and Upgrade My Home does not carry out technical surveys.

Working together

Why partner with Upgrade My Home?

The service is being built around useful homeowner information and carefully considered introductions.

More relevant introductions

Enquiries are reviewed before introductions are made, with the aim of identifying businesses that may suit the homeowner's requirements.

A homeowner-first experience

The service helps homeowners understand their options before and during the matching process.

Limited distribution

Upgrade My Home does not intend to distribute every enquiry to a large general list of contractors.

Long-term partnerships

The aim is to build ongoing relationships with a smaller network rather than maximise the number of participating businesses.

Feedback and improvement

As the service develops, homeowner and installer feedback can help refine the matching process.

Participation standards

Who we are looking to work with

We value installer businesses that communicate clearly, provide transparent homeowner information and take responsibility for a good customer experience.

Business foundations

Appropriate registrations and qualifications where relevant, suitable insurance and clear business information.

Relevant experience

Experience in the services offered, clearly defined geographic coverage and a positive customer reputation.

Clear homeowner information

Transparent quotations, helpful explanations and clear communication about products, work scope and next steps.

Responsive partnership

Timely follow-up, constructive feedback on enquiries and a commitment to good homeowner outcomes.

Solar registration context

Businesses carrying out SEAI grant-supported solar work may need the relevant current SEAI registration. SEAI registration is a scheme requirement where applicable. It is not an endorsement or guarantee of an installer by SEAI or Upgrade My Home.

From application to participation

How the partnership process works

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the network.

  1. 1

    Apply

Submit basic information about your business, services and coverage.

  2. 2

    We review the business

We review the information and may carry out reasonable additional checks or ask follow-up questions.

  3. 3

    We speak with you

Where appropriate, we may arrange a short conversation about your services and what makes a useful homeowner introduction.

  4. 4

    Participation is confirmed

If there appears to be a good fit, we can confirm participation and document the initial working arrangement.

  5. 5

    Relevant enquiries may be introduced

Homeowner enquiries may then be introduced where they appear suitable. Volume, availability and results are not guaranteed.

Improving relevance

What makes a useful homeowner introduction?

We want to understand what information helps installer partners assess whether an enquiry may be relevant.

Useful details can include county or service area, property type, upgrade type, electricity use where relevant, battery interest for solar, timeframe, homeowner requirements and other information about the proposed work.

The matching process will be refined as Upgrade My Home learns from real homeowner and installer feedback. Internal assessment weights or decision rules are not published.

Partnership terms

Commercial arrangements

Upgrade My Home may receive fees or other commercial consideration from participating installers for introductions, participation or other agreed services.

Any commercial terms will be discussed directly before participation is agreed. Commercial arrangements do not determine whether a homeowner enquiry is suitable for a particular installer.

Expectations

Before you apply

Upgrade My Home is building the network gradually, and not every application will be accepted.

  • Participation may be reviewed over time.
  • Installer partners remain responsible for their own quotations, contracts and work.
  • Homeowner contracts are directly with the installer.
  • Upgrade My Home does not guarantee enquiry volume, jobs or results.
